Moodle Technical Support

What is Moodle technical support? Well, although Moodle is a very reliable piece of software, tested extensively by the Moodle developers and partners, and by the ever increasing Moodle user community, it is a complex system, and any complex system can have problems. Our Moodle technical support service is here to help.

If you encounter a problem with moodle not doing what it is supposed to do, or perhaps it has simply stopped working, or you want to know the best way to perform a certain task or achieve a certain result, perhaps you want to speed up the performance of your Moodle site, install some additional activity modules or blocks, or even simply change the colour scheme and logo to better match your other sites or organisational style, then we can help.

There are two basic options that we offer for Moodle Support:

1

Ad-hoc Support at a fixed hourly rate

We ask for a small retainer (£150 + VAT) and you then receive a helpdesk account just like the other contracts. All support time is logged, and you are charged our standard support rate of £55 + VAT per hour (recorded in fifteen minute increments). We would normally suggest that we invoice you for this time on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the amount of use you make of the service.

Please note that support contract holder calls receive a higher priority than ad-hoc support users. You will need to provide us with remote-access details so that we can get into your moodle.

In the event that a visit to a client's site is required, then we charge a fixed rate of £350 + travelling expenses + VAT for a half-day visit, or £550 + travelling expenses + VAT for a full day. We will try to respond as quickly as possible to a help request, but cannot guarantee a response time as it depends on workload, especially with support contract holders having a higher priority.

If it is possible to give an estimate of the fix time, after an examination of the problem, then we will do so but we may run over, depending on the problem, the circumstances of your hosting, the nature of your moodle installation and other factors.
